To join the PBA in Australia

Membership of the PBA entitles you the right to participate in separate qualifying events for five major World Bowls Tour Events in the UK including:

World Indoor Singles - England
World Indoor Pairs - England
Engage International Open Singles - England
Scottish International Open Singles - Scotland
Welsh International Open Singles - Wales

Successful qualifiers from Australia will win the right to play in these events with all airfares and accommodation paid to the UK. You will also be guaranteed prize money even if you lose the first round in the UK! Last year Australia had three qualifying spots for the World Indoor Singles and one spot for the remaining four events. If our membership in Australia grows we may be allocated more spots in these events.

Qualifying events will be held in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capitol Territory, Western Australia and Victoria from May - June. Each venue will be required to obtain a minimum amount of members for qualifying to take place, dates and venues will be confirmed in the near future. The winners from each qualifying area will come together at a National Final in Queensland during August.

Nominations close on the 28th February and the ratio of National Finals spots for each qualifying venue will be worked out according to membership numbers in each area on this date.

The PBA is open to men and women with invitations given to best performed women members throughout the World to play in the World Ladies Matchplay and World Mixed Pairs events. (Georgia White and Ceri Ann Davies from Australia were invited this year after winning enough games in the Aust PBA last year).

Membership of $135 a year broken down into five events equals $27 for each event, with first prize the right to represent your country in a World Bowls Tour event, all travel and accommodation expenses covered
